We all see the strain firsthand: in crowded waiting rooms, overextended clinicians, and headlines warning of worsening shortages. These pressures reflect a deeper, chronic underinvestment in the health system.

But there is a lever we rarely talk about: caregivers. By investing in caregiver capacity, we free clinicians to work at the top of their license, expand the system’s ability to manage rising demand, and create a more resilient, human-centered model of care. It’s one of the most overlooked and most scalable ways to rebuild workforce strength.
